Impeachment
The news about the state of our republic is very bad. Congress has abandoned its constitutional right and duty to protect the republic by removing a president who has committed high crimes and misdemeanors.

Gary Murrell supports House Resolution 333 introduced by Representative Dennis Kucinich which calls for the impeachment of Vice President Cheney and he would support a resolution for the impeachment of President Bush as well.

Norm Dicks does not support impeachment. Dicks seems content with the Bush administration, calling impeachment a "waste of time." At a Port Townsend meeting of constituents during the summer of 2007, Dicks challenged the audience, demanding that they list the impeachable offences committed by Bush and Cheney. When they complied, he didn't listen. If he would listen, Dicks might find the following offenses worthy of impeachment:
  1. Bush and Cheney purposely manipulated intelligence and lied to the American people to justify preemptive war in Iraq.
  2. Bush and Cheney have ordered and condoned the use of torture in violation of U. S. and international law.
  3. Bush and Cheney have kidnapped people [rendered, in their Orwellian language] around the world and sent them to third countries to be tortured.
  4. Bush and Cheney have spied on American citizens communications and invaded peoples homes and papers in violation of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution.
  5. Bush has violated the Constitution by using signing statements to avoid enforcement of laws passed by Congress.
  6. Bush and Cheney have denied prisoners access to legal representation, held people incommunicado in secret prisons and monitored the communications between lawyers and clients.
  7. Bush and Cheney have openly threatened aggression against another country absent a threat to the United States.

If Bush and Cheney escape impeachment before leaving office, Dr. Murrell will support any actions that would result in bringing the two men, and their accomplices Rumsfeld, Gonzalez, Rice, Powell and others, to the International Criminal Court on charges of war crimes.
